The Grind is Rossland’s favourite coffee shop and eatery, centrally located across from the post office in our picturesque mountain town. We serve locally roasted Oso Negro coffee and espresso drinks, fresh-baked muffins, scones, cinnamon buns, squares, loaves and more. Gluten-free baked goods are also made in-house. If you’re looking for something more substantial, enjoy one of our extremely popular frittata breakfast bagels, a bagel sandwich with smoked salmon, bacon and tomato or veggies, our homemade granola, or a calzone. In the summer, cool off with a smoothie made from real fruit (no mixes here!) or an iced or blended drink in air-conditioned comfort. In the spring, summer and fall, we offer seating in the front along the street, and out back on our beautiful deck.

The Rossland Alpine Grind is open seven days a week. Winter 2025 hours are Sunday to Wednesday from 7am to 4:30pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 7am to 8pm. The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Grind is open from Monday to Friday, from 7am to 2pm.
