Our Food

The majority of our food is made fresh daily in-house, including our sandwiches, scones, muffins and more. We also feature food from local suppliers, such as the amazing salsa we serve with our breakfast bagels, from Rossland’s Sabrosa Salsa. Greens are organic, our yummy soups are made in-house and we bake our own granola. And when they’re in season, we’ll make scones and muffins with those sweet/tart mountain gems – local huckleberries. Customer favourites are our daily fruit and savoury scones and muffins, and our peanut butter balls, made with organic peanut butter, organic rice crisps and Callebaut dark chocolate! Come in early – they go quickly!

hello., I have tried calling and left message….I visited trail hospital for tests a couple weeks back., stopped at your coffee shop in the trail hospital where they had a couple gluten free items…(I have celiac so have to watch what I eat)…there were these peanut butter balls and nut balls dipped in chocolate…I tried them and did not have a reaction. I find it so hard to find something so enjoyable and live far out in country in Kitchener BC… is it possible to get ingredient/recipe for these two items? it would be so nice to have …I am not a business,. just a person learning to live with celiac and finding it hard to deal with. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

When I visited Rossland in 2006 with my sister, we shared a sandwich at the Alpine Grind that contained a slice of sauteed eggplant, a slice of portebello mushroom, and some type of white cheese (maybe gouda?), among other ingredients. It was soooo delicious! What were all the ingredients?

Hi Lanny! We’ve owned the Grind since 2009, so I’m afraid that was the previous owner’s recipe! Hopefully you’ll be able to pop by the Grind again some day and enjoy one of our paninis on our homemade focaccia. Cheers!

Hey there. I just wanted to compliment the Grind on your amazing and filling sandwiches. Made with fresh ingredients, your sandwiches are, hands down, one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Thank you for offering fresh food made with care and always offered with a smile. I can’t wait to see what you are offering tomorrow at your hospital site. Yummy!
